We know how tough it is on the front lines. We’ve been yelled at, humiliated, and put in harm’s way. But as a powerful and mature union, we will not be silenced. We speak up where we see employer policies and government decisions that impact our ability to provide quality care. And we don’t give up. After all, when we all come together on a common issue, we’re hard to ignore.

We joined ONA members from across Ontario calling on hospital CEOs to implement registered nurse-to-patient staffing ratios so that public hospitals can recruit and retain nurses and health-care professionals to provide the care patients need. 

Labour Day 2024

ONA Local 7 and Region 4 Vice-President Grace Pierias participated in the annual Labour Day event in Brantford, organized through the Brantford & District Labour Council.

All-Out Information Pickets - April 12, 2024

On April 12, ONA members and allies joined all-out information pickets in communities across the province.

These pickets showed our unified voice and commitment to achieving a fair deal for nursing homes nurses and health-care professionals that prioritizes #CareNotProfit.

June 2023 Enough is Enough Brantford

On June 3, 2023, Local 7 members participated in the Ontario Health Coalition’s “Enough is enough” campaign in Brantford, distributing leaflets in the community.
